Beringer Founders’ Estate Chardonnay is from select vineyards throughout Central California and the North Coast. The vineyards are bathed in
sunshine during the day and cooled by the marine layer in the evening, ensuring even and steady ripening of the grapes. The Founders’ Estate
Chardonnay grapes were picked as soon as they exhibited the ideal balance of acidity and ripe fruit flavors.
The Beringer winemaking team worked with the viticulture department to determine when each vineyard reached full maturity. Once fully ripened
and picked, a majority of the fruit underwent fermentation in stainless steel tanks to retain the purity of fruit. A small percentage of the grapes
were aged in seasoned French, Hungarian and American oak to add to the wine’s depth of flavor and lush mouthfeel.
