Stone Cellars by Beringer is a line of easy-drinking wines available in multiple formats which are ideal for casual gatherings. Consistent and
approachable in flavor, the line offers classically structured varietals that offer great value. Stone Cellars is named in honor of the
original Beringer stone winery, built in 1876.
The coordination between viticulture and winemaking teams is essential when choosing fruit, to achieve the optimum level of flavor and balance
in the wine. Stone Cellars vineyards are chosen for their demonstration of optimal growing conditions of particular varietals of grapes, thereby
delivering on each wine’s commitment to varietal expression.
Winemakers focused on maintaining the lush, black fruit and layers of spice naturally present in this varietal. The Shiraz was aged for over one
year in seasoned French, American and Hungarian oak to give it layers of spice and toastiness. For additional structure and depth, small
portions of Syrah and Petite Sirah were added to the final blend.
